Chung-cheng Park
Chung-cheng
Park where was built along the mountain and close to the harbor
is the most famous scenery in Keelung. The giant white statue of
Kuang-yin Buddha at the tepe of mountain becomes
the guiding sign for those incoming ships, while the always-smiling
MilerFo Buddha welcomes each visitors and tourists. There are lots
of facilities here providing people with a place to spend leisure
time.
The main altar building is the prime place holding the ceremony
during the Ghost Festival in Keelung.. It is also a good place to
view the harbor and the ocean. Transportation: take 206 bus. stop
at provincial hospital, and the entrance is on the other side.

Gong-Tze-Louw battery
Gong-Tze-Louw
battery was built in Ching Dynasty, located at the northwestern of
Keelung City. This ancient battery is as significant as the Others
no matter in history or its architecture. In fact, after World War
Il, it is still being used as a military facility by the ROC government
till a few year ago.
The hill on north side of Gong-Tze-Louw is formed by several features
of rock and shaped a cliff which becomes a remarkable sight of view
in this area.The scenes of the HO-Ping island, Patoutzu, and Keelung
islet are sight in front of the hill. ln particular, it is the best
sight for the beautiful sunset of Patoutzu one of the Eight Scenes
in Keelung.
